Yesterday, I took some time out to sink into my couch and blissfully watch one of my favorite old movies, "My Fair Lady". If you have not seen it, you're missing out. The fashions are unbelievable!
One portion in the film I love is when everyone is at the derby - all dressed up and sporting the most spectacular hats I've ever seen.
Not having a hat anywhere near the splendor of those in the movie, I decided to wear a handband/clip that the amazing designer Blair Nadeau of Feathered handmade for me. Having a couple pieces of her's (including the most DELICIOUS hat that I will post another day) - this light, feathered one seemed to suit my mood and the airy summer breeze of the day.
It has the most beautiful feather in it (I believe it's a specific type of peacock, but I can't be sure - I've forgotten) with shimmers of pale pink, ivory and gold.
I adore it. What do you think? Do you have any head pieces you adore?

To answer your question, I DO have a headpiece I adore - my veil for my wedding. I made it and am so excited to wear it in 3 weeks!! (till then, it's under wraps :P)
