I am completely late posting today - but I've been on deadline for some publications today. Busy, busy, busy!
I was really excited to read that Madonna will be launching a fashion line this upcoming summer at Macy's (August 3rd). Madonna, who is no stranger to fashion or the many changes in trends it recycles on a regular basis - is perfect for the job. Her image is constantly evolving, keeping her fans and media constantly begging for more.
Instead of making her line high priced, I was pleasantly surprised to see that she is making a much more affordable line. Her collection will have prices ranging from $12-$80. I have no doubt that she will be a large competitor for retail stores such as Forever 21 and H&M - especially because Macy's is found just about everywhere across the USA.
Although her pieces will obviously hold the latest trends and fashions - what I do find to be fun, is the fact that some of Madonna's signature "looks" from different era's will also be throw into the mix.
A teen celebrity has rumored to be the face of her campaign, but who that is will no be released until next month WWD reports.
I'm eager to see what comes out of the line - what do you think?
